第十五回ボカロクラシカ音楽祭自由曲部門参加作品です。採用テーマは「15」(作品15)、「ふるさと/望郷/帰郷/祖国」です。リヒャルト・シュトラウスというと最初に連想するのは極めて巧みな管弦楽による交響詩群、そしてオペラ作品かと思われます。しかし初期作品に目を向けると、意外にも室内楽、交響曲、そして多くの歌曲といった小規模な作品が多く作曲されています。今回選びました「帰郷」はそんな初期リヒャルト・シュトラウス歌曲を代表する美しい一曲です。声と伴奏の掛け合いと一体感、滑らかな転調が後の作風を予告しているように思われます。アドルフ・フリードリヒ・フォン・シャック(ミュンヘンを中心に活躍した詩人)の詩を訳すのは大変でした。私がドイツ語の知識がほぼないのもあって、自信がないところもいくつか……dir (あなたに)という言葉が何度か登場しますが、これは特定の人ではなくHeim = 故郷を指してるのでは？と思い、そのように訳しています。リヒャルト・シュトラウス「帰郷」作品15-55 Lieder, Op.15 No.5 "Heimkehr"作曲:Richard Strauss (1864 - 1949)作詞:Adolf Friedrich von Schack (1815 - 1894)訳詞:やしろ歌唱: Eleanor Forte AI (Synthesizer V)
